Creating an original juxtaposition of concepts or symbols is arguably the core high-level skill of a designer. Technical skills and graphic layout will only get you so far without a great idea driving your design. This assignment will expand on the synthesis skills you practiced in the previous assignment, challenge you to push your creativity, and be our first stab at a finished visual piece.

Goal

​Create a collage or montage combining two or more images to communicate a concept (household waste during a pandemic) in a unique way. The final image must be high quality, you must include notes of your research and brainstorming for the concepts. Your concept must be original in that it stands separate from other student submissions or famous artworks.

Find or inject meaning into images.

Create a composition using found images/items.

Brainstorm ideas, and forcing yourself to reach past the initial obvious ideas.
