About the Creative Process
In this illustration, I reimagined the iconic Wicked characters with a playful, cartoon style. Glinda’s cheerful pink gown and sparkling wand contrast with Elphaba’s flowing black dress, striped stockings, and green skin, highlighting their differences and bond. The dreamy clouds and bright sky create a magical atmosphere, while their dynamic poses emphasize their individuality and friendship. My goal was to give these beloved characters a fresh, lighthearted twist while honoring their story.
Glinda and Elphaba’s designs show off their differences while still making them feel connected. Glinda’s pink gown, soft curls, and sparkly wand give her that classic "good witch" vibe, while Elphaba’s sleek black dress, pointy hat, and striped stockings lean into the traditional witch look. The soft pastels of Glinda’s outfit contrast with Elphaba’s darker colors, but their warm, friendly expressions show the bond they share, capturing the magic of Wicked in a fun, playful way.
